Not Today

Don’t bother
rousing
this
rebel.
Go Away!
I am troubled,
bothered,
malcontented,
agitated,
pissed even.
Antagonism
is the unwelcomed
neighbor that
just drops-in
from time to time
stirring up things
from the inside out,
burning the inner lining
of my lungs, leaving me
screaming for release.
Hold on…
Wait a damned minute…
who told you it was okay
to just arrive open-handed
as if I have nothing better
to do with my time
than to just sit here
holding it?
There is no
reasoned rhyme
for casting shadows
on my happy happy
with disatifactions
at everything
and nothing.
Hey, HEY! Pay Attention!
Look at me
you good for nothing
waste of energy.
I’m sitting here
tempestuously
picking
the scabs
off your
undertakings
releasing
the damned
pools of promise
puddling just below
the surface,
bellering,
I’M STILL
IN HERE!
SCAT!
SCRAM!
FUCK OFF!
Leave
Me
The
Hell
Alone!
You
Ain’t
Welcome
Here!
